Alexandra P., Non-Profit Board Consultant. Goal: Wellness and Conditioning, in tandem with Alexander Technique regimen.
"In the two years that I worked with her I never had the same session twice: each was varied and interesting, and for each session she had prepared a plan for what I should be working on. Over those years, I built my upper body strength considerably, and Natalie helped me work on long term issues, like strengtening lung power to tackle big hills. She has a remarkable gift for encouragement, so that even as I struggled with some things she would explain why it was difficult and how it would make a difference, and point out what I was doing well. I always felt like a victorious athlete at the end of our training sessions, and I had a really good time, too.

Natalie is probably the best prepared trainer I've worked with, with a surprising level of thoughtfulness about my individual plan (how does she do it for so many clients?) that really impressed me. A smart, well informed and interesting person, she was also fun to work out with. I have dreaded the tedium of so any workouts in the past. with other trainers, both because the sessions were repetitive, and because the trainers themselves were not very interesting. Not Natalie. She is a large thinker who puts a healthy body in a life context that was real and understandable to me. I looked forward to talking to her - and that was important for someone like me, because if I can talk myself out of doing a workout, I will - and at the same time appreciated her professionalism and the organized way she kept her own training business running. Lucky is the person who will get Natalie's focus and encouragement. She is a gifted instructor."

Becky L., Vegan Food Cart Extraordinnaire. Goal: Start an exercise routine.
"[Natalie] got me into the best shape I've ever been and made me enjoy the entire process. The Mount Tabor Boot Camp was the exact opposite of the monotonous on-my-own gym workouts that I had gone through over and over again for the past few years. After just 1 or 2 (I did 4 total) of the Boot Camps I was more toned, much stronger, and able to run further and faster than I ever had before. The Boot Camp classes were fast-paced, FUN (even in the rain or sunny hot weather), difficult in a great way, and pushed me to try as hard as I could (not something I was expecting from myself)."

Elie C., Acupuncturist. Goal: Train for a race, overall conditioning.
"Thanks again for all the great training! I have to say that the whole time I was running [the 8K race] and afterward, I kept feeling like my body was super well prepared for the whole thing. It didn't feel hard or strenuous, it felt right. And I know it is a direct result of your training schedule. Thanks so much!"

Jennifer and David, Work for a major sports brand. Goal: To be prepared for their second half marathon.
[We are] both happy with our runs and THANK GOD (or you) that we did hill training with you. We both did all hills without walking and without it even coming close to killing us. At a few points we were at normal pace on them. Felt good."

Asit P., Executive Vice President of Engineering Firm.
"Through one's professional career, we come into contact with a rare few who actually make things happen. They possess an unquantifiable set of skills, coupled with a unique manner of focusing their efforts to reach their goals in an explosively powerful manner. I met Natalie Wessel four years ago, and knew right away she'd be a do-er, a shaker. A rebel and agitator. I know I'm in the presence of greatness, because she does it all with a carefree smile. She focuses her energy, combines the strength of every muscle in her being, and strikes a bulls-eye.

Natalie's skill set is comprehensive, explained certainly by her thirst for knowledge, improvement, and the application of what she learns to benefit those around her. Blending a nose-to-the-grindstone work ethic, a passion for physical fitness and nutrition as a way of living, and taking time each day to contemplate the fragility power of her own spirit, there is not a thing this woman cannot do. Look out."

Chris E., Fiction Writer and Book Editor. Goal: To get in shape for his book launch.
"Training in Central Park with Natalie is like getting an infusion of sunshine on the cloudiest day. Her energy level and enthusiasm always get my heart rate up. By example and encouragement she has me training harder and longer than I otherwise would have on my own. When I first met her I hadn't run in over a decade. Within a year I was running a 10k race and looking for more."

Rachel H., College Professor and Poet.. Goal: Flexibility and Conditioning.
"Natalie Wessel's personality is as naturally radiant, sunny, and warm as her complexion. She is an inspiring person to be around - her presence exudes warmth, sincerity, and caring - and she gives detailed and helpful advice to her trainees, bearing in mind individual needs. She is a treasure. New York's loss is Portland's great gain!"

Catherine N., Photographer and Author. Goal: Functional Fitness.
"Natalie's wonderful. I worked with her for two years, starting when I was 69, and having as my goal that I wanted to stave off the ravages of 70. She tailored exercises for me, and had always done her homework in figuring, before each session, her plan for the day. She was totally attentive to how well I was doing, and was able to articulate for me how it should feel--an enormous help when you've got a whole bunch of unused muscles! Plus, she was a joy to work with--willing, good-natured and cheerful without being in the least bit powder-puffy. I now have a pleasure in working out that I never had before."

Marti J., Publisher. Goal: Strength and Conditioning.
"I always look forward to our workout sessions. I appreciate that she planned ahead to make my workouts different each time we meet. She is very astute in communicating the correct way to perform each exercise. She knows exactly what workouts my body needs. Her beautiful smile, great coaching techniques, and all her encouraging remarks make my early morning workouts with her so much fun. Thank you."

Ted K., Chamber Singer. Goal: To shake up an old routine, trim the waist, improve lung capacity.
"It was certainly enjoyable meeting with Natalie and working with her. Upon our departing, I had a new sense of excitement about it all, because for the first time I had some new and interesting ideas that I think may really produce results. I recognized by late evening that I definitely had exercised some new muscles and with the associated great feeling one gets from doing that. And most of all, her joy-inducing personality just made it fun and interesting. Thank you so much. "

Ellen S., Mother of two and Real Estate Investor. Goal: Weight Loss (she has lost 28 lbs).
At first, I simply wanted to lose weight and firm up. I did accomplish that, but in the process with Natalie's professionalism, I learned about good nutrition, better choices and the importance of consistency. I've lost 28 lbs! I feel so much better. Not only stronger, but more confident in myself. I really liked the personal workout for my body and getting into action with Natalie to achieve our set goals."

Michelle, Financial Advisor. Goal: To become a faster runner.
"Natalie really has that coach's gift of knowing how to balance support and 'tough love!'"

Renee M., Consultant. Goal: To change her lifestyle and become more healthy.
"I did the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer this past weekend. I walked 39.3 miles and I felt a million times better than when I did it last year. I think it is because I am 15 pounds thinner and in much better shape...thanks to Natalie! I really feel like I have learned how to live day-to-day better by training with her. She gave me the tools I need for when I am actively going to the gym and even when I am not."

Christian R., Financial Advisor and Founder of Non-Profit Organization. Goal: Programming for Marathon #1 and #2.
"Natalie's ideas and suggestions have been very helpful over the last 12 months. The workouts as well as the easy going presence helped a lot in improving! Thank you so much, yesterday's run would not have been possible without Natalie. She applied just the right workout dose to me and I felt very comfortable and safe!"
